Population
The bar chart gives information about the percentage of total of world population in four countries in 1950 and 2002, and predictions for 2050.
It is clear from the bar chart that the figure for India have an upward trend while the reverse is true with China, USA, and Japan. The percentage of the total world population in Japan is low in comparison with the others.
In 1950, the majority of the total population was from China, at just over 22 percent. Over a period of 52 years, there was a decrease of 10 percent in the statistic of China whilst the percentage of India was up from 15 percent to 17 percent. It is anticipated that the figure for India should rise to around 20 percent, outweighing China with a gap of 5 percent.
At the beginning of the survey, USA occupied third position with 7 percent and remaining stable at 5 percent from the 2002's onwards. All of which, the percentage of population in Japan fell down slightly, under 5 percent.
