The process illustrates how diamonds are produced through several main steps. It begins with rough diamonds in the mine and finished with the delivering to sellers.
The process begins with the stones being mined in their rough form, then they are sorted into two primary groups, namely low grade, and high grade. In the former group, diamonds are specialized for industrial purposes, after which they are cut and shaped, then assessed for the level of hardness. The final step before being shipped to retailers is the pricing.
However, high-quality diamonds are set aside for cosmetic industries. After being priced, diamonds are submitted to a computer division to analyze their most effective cut. Next, they are cut using hand or a machine depending on the previous analyzing process. At this point, products are polished and then given a rating before delivering to sellers. On the contrary, diamonds which fail in the rating process will be returned for further polishing in order to be rated again before selling.
