The table illustrates the police budget 2017-2018 of one place in Britain. The pie chart show the distribution of the money.
Overall, the national government contributed the most amount of money for police budget. And the largest amount of money was spent on salaries of officers and staff while technology was the field given the least money.
To begin, the police budget mainly came from the national government with 175.5 million in 2017 and 177.8 million in 2018. At the second and third place was the local taxes and other sources like grants with 91,2 million and 38 million in 2017; 102.3 million and 38.5 million in 2018 respectively.
In term of the investment of money on three fields, the money was spent on salaries of officers and staff in 2017 was three quarter of all percentage, which decreased to 69% in 2018. By contract, the percentage of money invested in technology increased from 8% to 14%. Finally, the proportion of money put in buildings and transport remains unchanged in two-year period.
