Overall, the total number of Mandarin Chinese speakers is strikingly higher than the other languages because this language has the most native speakers. English is the most popular second language, while Portugese is less popular as an additional language and has the fewest language users.
Among these six languages, Mandarin Chinese is the most spoken language. 900 million people take it as a native language while only 190 million people take it as an additional language. Hindi has the second largest number of native speakers, and is taken as a second language by 120 million people. Spanish take the third positions on number of native speakers and forth positions on number of total number of speakers, with 350 million and 420 million respectively. Arabic language takes the fifth position with and 230 million people speak this language which included 206 million native speakers. Portugese has the least native speaker. And only a few numbers of people used this language as an additional language.
