The given table compares the proportion of 7 notebook computer manufactures in terms of international market share in 2006 and 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that while HP, Dell, Toshiba had an upward trend regarding the consuming product index from 2006 to 2007, the opposite was true for the remaining sectors. Additionally, HP accounted for the biggest portion of purchasing computers in both two examined years.
In 2006, HP manufacture dominated the worldwide computer's map with 31.4%, which was nearly twofold that of the second biggest company, Dell. With relative increases in buying index, two firms mentioned above continued to lead the rank with 34% and 20.2%, respectively. Moreover, the year 2007 witnessed a modest growth regarding computer market share of Toshiba, from 6.2% to 7.3%.
In contrast, the reversed tendency was seen in the data of the remaining manufactures. In 2006, 11.6%, 6.6% and 4.8% market share were achieved by Acer, Lenovo, Fujitsu companies. After 1 year, the figures experienced slight declines, reaching the threshold of 10.7%, 6.25 and 2.3%, respectively. Besides, there was a decrease in the market share of other computer firms to 19.3% in 2007.
