The pictures depict the development of Kelsbey village in more than two centuries (from 1780 to 2000).
Overall, Kelsbey village developed in terms of public facilities and housings, and the forest area and farmland were completely converted to the buildings for a public purpose.
In 1780, the village used to be the farm and forest area, and just 100 homes were built. However, the number of houses developed in 1860 doubled. Also, the bridge crossing the river on the west side was constructed. Another change occurring was almost two-third of woods were chopped down and half of the farm was given away to be vacant land.
Kelsbey village in 2000 underwent a huge transformation. Five hundred houses were established with two roads connected to the schools in the south and river in the west. Two educational institution and three-sport centres were built in the south of the village. Furthermore, five shops were constructed along the river in the southwest, while the wetland area for the birds was added in the upstream.
