The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981, 1991 and 2001.
The three pie charts compare the expenditure of various sectors of a school in UK in 1981, 1991 and 2001.
It is apparent from the information supplied that the highest percentage of spending was used for teachers’ salaries while the insurance was considered costing the least despite showing an increase over the period.
As can be seen from the given charts, the great portion of expenditure was allocated to teachers’ salaries accounting for approximately a half of total school spending among the given years.
Sharing the same proportion at 15% in 1981, the payment for furniture and equipment and resources had two different change which were upward and downward trend respectively in the two following year. A dramatically decrease took place in the spending of furniture and equipment standing at 5%, and then significantly rose to 23% in 2001. Whereas the money used for resources dropped from 20% in 1991 to 9% in 2001.
Finally, the money that was paid for workers declined nearly a half to 15% in 2001 while the insurance expense showed an increase of 4 times in 2001 compared to its in 1981.
