The two maps below show an island, before and after the construction of some
tourist facilities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and
make comparisons where relevant.
The given map compares the pictures of an island that has undergone some changes in the context of tourism.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the entire island has witnessed a makeover resulting in improved infrastructure, additional tourist facilities, and enhanced accessibility.
According to the given illustration, the island, which was a barren piece of land earlier with a few coconut trees and a sandy beach, has now turned into a tourist hot-spot with numerous renovations. Although the width of the island(100meter) and the coconut grooves remained the same, a myriad of housing facilities along with footpath connectivities have been introduced to the eastern and western ends of the island.
Furthermore, a reception office surrounded by a vehicle track is constructed in the mid-way of the housing units to its opposite ends. Also, a new restaurant and an extended pier to board the ships with an inter-connectivity of the vehicle tracks have been developed to its northern and southern ends. Besides this, the sandy beach, which is now approachable via a footpath, has added swimming facilities for the tourists.
