The two given maps compare an island prior to and following the developments brought out for tourism purposes.
Overall, it is obvious that accommodations and other facilities were built with a pier was constructed for boats and ships to access the island.
At the first glance, it is noticed that the entire number of accommodations and facilities such as a reception house and a restaurant for tourists were located in the middle of the island and surrounded by circular footpaths. However, the original coconut trees were still preserved as a natural symbol of the island. Furthermore, there was a long and small pier established in the southeast of the island for visitors inland safely by boats. Besides, the beach which was on the western edge of the island, was available for tourists to swim.
In summary, the whole island was transformed almost completely from a natural and deserted one to a modern and convenient destination for tourists to spend their holidays.
