the line graph below shows about the number of Britain who have car by their own between 1971 and 2007.
It is clear that car ownership in Britain experienced a considerable increase while the significant increase was seen in the amount of people who own 2 cars.
In 1971, Britain did not use car regularly, account for nearly a half of people in UK, and household with one car stood at nearly 45%. While, household with 2 cars and 3 or more cars was low, just nearly 10% and about 1% respectively.
After 1971, the figure for people without a car has a significant decrease from 50% to 25%, opposite to household with two cars increased to over 25% in 2007.There was a slightly increase in household with 3 cars and the one-car household was the common type, also there was little change in the figure for this category
