Writing task 1 : People's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits
The bar chart provided information about the habits of drinking and buying coffee or tea during last four weeks in five cities in Australia which are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.
Overall, the data indicates that Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart are three cities where people mostly tend to enjoy coffee or tea at a café. In contrast, the number of people bought fresh coffee in Brisbane, Adelaide are low, under 35%. Besides, the consumption of instant coffee is quite high in Brisbane and Hobart.
Out of the five countries, consumer spent time enjoying coffee and tea at the café was noticeably higher in Hobart and Melbourne, at approximately 65% and Sydney, at more than 60%. The proportion of people buying instant coffee in last 4 weeks was also highest in Hobart, at around 55%, then Brisbane, standing at 53%. Besides, the percentage of people buying fresh coffee in last month was significantly high in Sydney and Melbourne, at about 43% and 41%, respectively.
It can be seen that Brisbane had the lowest percentage of people consuming fresh coffee and going to a café for coffee and tea, at nearly 35% and 55%. While in terms of buying instant coffee, Sydney is the city which had the lowest percentage of city residents who bought it, at around 45%.
