I was recruited by your company last month and my joining date is within 2 days. I am writing this letter to inform you that unfortunately, I won't be able to join due to some critical family health issues.
My father is not keeping well from the past few months and is recently got diagnosed with a major heart problem. I am my parent's only child to look after them. It is my word to you that I will join within a period of 10 days to the maximum. And, I promise, I won't let my work and your organization suffer in my absence. Please let me know if that can be possible.
