The chart illustrates the proportion of teachers who have different gender in six unlike educational institutions in UK in 2010.

Overall, both men and women played an important role in education of UK. However, women have a significant presence in educational institution regarded to children.

In three of six institutions, female outnumbered male. Female teachers accounted for a large percentage of the teacher group in schools for children: Nursery, Primary school and Secondary school. The gap between two gender was extremely large in Nursery and Primary school, where there were nine times as many women teacher as men teachers.

Men and women were more equally represented in schools related to older children and young adults. In college, there were nearly as many women (about 50%) as men (about 50%). In higher-level school, most of teachers were male. In university, male teachers outnumbered female teachers (roughly 70% male and 25% female). It was also true of Private training institute.
