The bar chart gives information about where British chose to emigrate to from 2004 to 2007.
It is noticeable that compared with other four countries, Australia gained much more popularity in these four years. Specifically, the number of British who emigrated to Australia declined slightly to 39 thousand in 2005 and then increased dramatically, peaking at more than 50,000, which was followed by a moderate decline.
A similar pattern of change can be observed between the emigrant to four countries, the figure for which saw a downward trend in the given period. Although the amount of immigrants leaving for Spain fell gradually from 35 thousand to approximately 28 thousand, it was almost double that of immigrants to New Zealand which also descended, bottoming out at 20 thousand in 2007. Meanwhile, the figure for the immigrants who went to USA witnessed a fluctuation, ranging from 19 thousand in 2005 and 2007 to 24 thousand in 2004 and 2006. There was a surge in the quantity of immigrants to France between 2004 and 2005, peaking at around 33,000, after which it almost halved in the following two years.
Overall, Australian was the most welcomed destination compared with other four areas. Adversely, the other four areas were less likely to be chose over the span of 4 years.
