The graph provided indicates the total number of university graduates from year 1992 to 2007 in Canada. It is categorised according to the gender.
Overall, the number of graduate students keeps on increasing over a span of 16 years. However the percentage of female students outnumbered the male students in every year.From year 1992 to 1995 there was a slight increase in the number of both the categories. In the following year the rate went down until the year 2001. From year 2002 to 2007 both the groups increased significantly.
In the year 1992, male graduates were slightly just above 70,000 although one lakh females were graduated in the same year. The male students grew up to 6,000 in 1995 as compared to 4,000 females. In the coming four years their rate fell moderately. From year 2000 to 2007 the number of female graduates increased considerably however in 2001 the percentage of male students went down moderately. In 2007 the rate of both the groups escalated substantially with 147,000
number of females and 96,000 males nevertheless the gap between the two classes widened the most in the same year.
