Dear Himadri,

It is so good to hear from you after a long time. I hope you are in the best of spirits. I am writing to thank you for your warm invitation. However, unfortunately, I am sorry I won't be able to spend my next holiday with you, as I have to prepare for my IELTS examination.

Let me explain my situation here. I have recently decided to explore better opportunities in Canada. I will be planning for immigration i.e. Permanent residency visa and that requires IELTS examination to access the English language level. It requires tremendous hard work and study hence I am declining your invitation as it will be hectic study schedule.

Could you let me know if any other time would be possible for you? I would certainly love to visit you and very keen on meeting your handsome son. I am also interested in seeing the new apartment you have recently moved into. I will be free during New Year's Eve, by then my IELTS results will also be declared. I would definitely to cherish your warm hospitality.

Please let me know.

Your loving friend,
Tina.
