Write a letter to colleague who gave you a book that helped you for a presentation at work.
You should:
1.Describe the presentation
2.Why was it important
3.How did it help you
Dear Simon,
I just wanted to let you know that my presentation went excellent, all thanks to the book I borrowed from you the other day.
I took your advice and made my presentation as simple as possible, with vivid graphics. I used both facts and figures to support my presentation so that the board member could link my statistics to actual figures.
I was up for a promotion and each potential candidate had to make a presentation. This presentation would outline why the person should be selected. Luckily, my past experience and a perfect sales record over the year helped me in proving a valuable asset to the company.
I was scared at first when I entered the board room since this was my first presentation after graduating a year ago. But I went through your book, titled ‘Calm before the thunder’, and this helped me gain a bit of confidence throughout my presentation.
I will drop by your place on the weekend to drop it off, if it’s not that urgent.
Yours,
Zeeshan.
