Dear Sir,
I am writing this epistle to inform you of not being able to join next week due to some problems. Let me explain the situation in detail.
To elucidate I had planned to get the relieving from my current organization by the end of this week. Additionally, I had hired a mover who had promised to get the relocation done to Bangalore by end of the week. however the situation has changed as my current employer has requested me to extend the notice period by an additional week so that the handover of the project is done smoothly as I was handling some critical projects which were at a closure stage with the customers. Furthermore, my mover is delaying the relocation by a few days due to unavailability of the cargo truck.
Although I can understand that you were expecting me to be on board by next week however due to procedural delays from my existing employer and unexpected delay from my mover on the relocation part I request you to grant me an extension of another week so that I can close all the pending work and join in the first week of May.
I look forward to your response and support on this matter.
