You are an international student and have borrowed a book from the local public library.
You left the book on a bus and when you contacted the bus company, they could not find it.
Write a letter to the librarian explaining the situation and asking what you should do.
• You should write at least 150 words.
• You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Dear Sir,
Last week, I borrowed a Political Science book from your library as I am preparing for UPSC exams. It was extremely useful so I always carry it with me. Yesterday, I got a call from my friend and we planned to study together, I found the book worth it, hence, I thought to carry it with me.
While going to her home, I took a bus and unfortunately, fell asleep. When I wake up I realized that I have missed the bus stop and immediately rushed to the driver to ask him to stop the bus on the next stop but uncertainly, forgot to pick the book. When I rang the bus company the next day, they could not find it and suggested that somebody must have picked it up.
Could you please let me know what I have to do now? Being an international student I do not have enough money, but of course, I will pay for a new copy of the book of it is necessary.
Yours Faithfully,
Jot
