You are living overseas and you have just come across an article about your country in a magazine where some of the information are incorrect. Write a letter to the editor.
In the letter, you should:
explain that an article contains wrong information
supply the correction information instead
provide some more interesting information for the editor to publish in the future.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter with regards to an incorrect information published in the article on the history of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in your ‘Journey to Space’ magazine.
I am citizen of the republic of India and actively follow the developments of the ISRO. The article stated that in 2018 ISRO launched 108 satellites using its PSLV IV mark 2 platform, which had a liquid based rocket engine. I would like to update that the platform used was a PSLV IV mark 4, which has a hybrid liquid and solid based rocket engine. You can verify this information in the 2019 annual rocket specification from ISRO
I request you to publish a follow-up article in the upcoming refresh of the ‘Journey to Space’ magazine highlighting the correct information and its source.
I would appreciate if you can also cover a news article on the recent developments in ISRO, specially the newer GSLV V rocket system and the Mangalyan – Journey to the mars mission.
I am looking forward to hearing your response.
Yours faithfully,
Mosam khan
