Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in reference to offer my suggestion to open a cafeteria in our company as it would be beneficial to the employer as well as employees. Allow me to elucidate further.
As you are aware that our office is located in the suburbs of the city with no food joints in close vicinity hence it becomes quite difficult for many employees to have refreshments as well as food. Although most of the employees bring lunch from home however there are many who don't hence they have to walk a long way from the office to the hawker centre to have their lunch or breakfast. In my opinion, if the company management allows then a cafeteria should be opened near the parking area on the front side of the office as there is plenty of space available. Besides this, the hall next to the security room is air-conditioned hence it could be used as a place where the employee could sit, relax and have their lunch and breakfast.
Having an on-campus cafeteria would result in better efficiency of employees at work as employees would not have to wander far away for lunch or breakfast thus saving time and energy, therefore, leading to better productivity at work.
