Dear Mr Lee,
I am writing to you in order to ask if there is any possibility to take some time off. I know it is peak season for our company, nevertheless I have a proposal about covering me while I am away, so my absence will not affect the working process.
As you are aware, I have been working efficiently and never asked for time off since our company was launched. My sister, who is the closest person to me, is getting married next week and I would like to share that happiness with her and my family. In addition, I haven’t seen them for almost 3 years and spending some time with them would motivate me for the future.
Due to this, I was hoping for two weeks vacation from 1st to 14th September. I will be back to work on Monday 15th September. I’ve already talked to Alison about the maintaining of my project throughout my leave. She is ready to take care of it, all the more so she is familiar with my responsibilities. I can assure you that she is a reliable member of our team.
