I am writing to inform you that I wont be able to come to play badminton next week as we had planned. I understand that we had planned this meeting as per my schedule and I truly apologize for cancelling at the last moment.
My company is sending me for a short training to Delhi on Monday and I will be coming back after 3 weeks. My manager has selected me to attend the training on the basis of my performance. He, also, informed me that this training is very vital for my next promotion.
However, I suggest we meet on the falling weekend after I am back from Delhi. I would like to invite you for a dinner party at my residence. This dinner would be special as I will be cooking myself. Please let me know your availability.
