You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some incorrect information about your town
Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter
Correct the information in the article
Explain why it is important to give correct information
Suggest what the magazine should do about this information
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter in relation to the recent article that was published in your magazine about my town, Kentucky. I found that few information mentioned about it is inaccurate and hence wanted to rectify the same.
I would like to bring to your attention about the report which specifies that our town does not have a museum which is abosolutely incorrect. Kentucky has one of the largest and most diverse museums of our country and is also well maintained.
It is imperative that information published by one of the well-renowned magazines such as you could have a large-scale impact on the reputation of our town and might deter toursists from flocking to our town. Kindly note that tourism is one of the most flourishing and revenue generating industries of our town and this particular article will immensly hamper the livelihoods of many tour operators and guides.
To rectify this blunder, I would request you to ask your subscribers to ingore the part about our town in the last week's update. Also, in the new magazine which will be rolled out in a few days from now, kindly republish the same report with the updated information that I provided to you. This will restore our town's reputation and thereby ensuring that our tourism industry flourishes as it is.
Thanks in advance for the kind consideration and understanding
Yours faithfully,
Mark
