Dear Ram,
I am doing great and hoping you are also sailing in same boat. I am writing this letter to express my sincere apology for not attending your birthday party as I misplaced the invitation you sent to me.
Yesterday, when I was finding something, I found the invite and suddenly realised that I missed the date. I immediately grabbed my cell phone and called you several times but was unable to reach you as your number was out of reach. I also tried to contact your mother as I was having her number but it was not answered. As a result, I finally thought of writing you an apology letter as a hope to reach you.
I know we were planning for so long to have a get together and you will be very excited to know that I am coming to your town next weekend for some urgent work and as I was not able to attend your birthday bash, so, I am planing to meet you and want to apologise in person. I am once again very sorry to not able to attend the party.
I am hoping to see you soon.
