You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an accident and wasn't able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to him in hospital, telling him about the match. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

• Tell him which team won
• Describe the conditions on the day
• Say how you felt about the match

Dear Brendan,

Firstly, I would like to know how you feel. I’m sorry I have not written to you earlier. As you remember we played semifinal last Sunday, our team played with the strongest team in the league. I’ll tell you about the game.

In the first quarter of an hour we opened the score, we really played quite well until the break. After the break nobody knows what happened with us, and the other team scored a goal on the 5th minute and the second just 3 minutes after that. Weather was rainy and cloudy, maybe because of that we played disastrously, well like you know we have never played on this conditions. It seemed that match couldn’t be worse, but you can’t imagine what happened next! Resting 10 minutes to the end we were losing 2-1, and our best striker was kicked out. If you remember we never give up and the whole team started playing as never before, on the last breath we made the impossible and withdrew the score thanks to goalkeeper Michael. Finally we won the match by penalty kicks.

All the team is waiting for your recovery; don’t remember we need you on the final!

With best wishes, Rafael
