Hi XYZ,
I am writing this letter to thank you a lot for filling my shoes when I was on my vacation in the last month. I would appreciate your contribution to the project work and being ready to accept the emergency project work, which has been done quite quickly with higher proficiency.
Since the beginning of the year, I planned to visit my parents in November for one week. On my vacation time, our company got a very important project from our customer and has to be done as quickly as possible. As a project manager, I had to finish it on time but you did a great job and took an opportunity to prove yourself extremely enthusiastic and interest in the work. I wouldn't forget your such a sort notice help while I was away on my leave.
You have done a great job and did head to toe to accomplish that project. As consequence, it helped our company to increase profit by 2% and also in the upcoming month our company is getting a big work order from the existing customer. Many companies are suffering from low work for their employees, while because of your hard work and project management skill, our organization would be working 24 hours all along.
When I got back from my vacation, I had a discussion with the management and other departments regarding the work you have done. They told me to raise your pay by 5%, but as we are friends for a long time, I requested to make you a project manager at the other plant with raised pay. That is a small favor I could do to you in return.
I heartily thank you for standing there in my absence and make it go through with all your effort. This act of yours made our friendship stronger than before. I can't wait to see your expression on your face hearing this good news about your promotion.
Yours lovingly,
Amit Savaliya
