Hello Rich,

I hope you’re doing excellent and thank you for inviting me for inviting me the dinner party. I was quite excited when I received your invitation and made my mind to attend the party. But, my bad luck! I couldn’t make it happen. I’m really sorry for not attending the party.

Actually, as you know I’ve recently joined a multinational company and I’m bombarded with lot of responsibilities. I came to know that I’ve one of the deadline on the same day of your birthday date, even I spent around 15 hours in the office to in order to achieve the target. Due to that deadline, I wasn’t in the position to join the event.

Apart from this, I’ve a good news that I’m available on the upcoming weekend and I would love to spend time with you. What about the Tom Cruise movie which is recently hit into the theaters? And after that what about going to your favorite restaurant for the candlelight dinner? Sounds excited! Isn’t it?

So, please confirm if you are available to give it try to this plan.

Your best friend!
Deepak
