Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter
Give details of how you and your friends or family use the center
explain why the sports and leisure center is important for the local community
Describe the possible effects on local people if the center closes
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with regard to the decision you have made about closing the sport and leisure center which is located in Bonus street. As you know, the center is the only one in this neighborhood. My friends and I have always been the active members of the center. In addition, my parents really need to do physical exercises in this fully-equipped center due to their backaches.
On the other hand, these types of centers are really required in the modern life. This is because people have to work hard during a day so attending the sport center help them gain more energy to keep their health well in order to work much better. Thus, It is most significant for both young and older people.
If the center is closed, you will see negative impacts of this action. First of all, local people would be away from doing exercise due to the fact that they do not have enough time to go to other centers which are too far. Secondly, individuals would not be able to do the best in their workplaces. Therefore, it could have straight effects on the outputs of companies.
I hope you change your decision if possible.
Kind Regards,
Sarah Smith
