Some people think that the best way to increase road safety is to increase the minimum legal age for driving cars or riding motorbikes To what extent do you agree or disagree

It is argued that increasing the minimum maturity requirement for motorist is the most effective measure to enhance the safety on the lane. While this approach can potentially reduce roadway disaster, I maintain that imposing stricter penalties for transportation violations and improving public transportation would be more feasible solutions to address the root causes of travel accidents.

Undoubtedly, raising the minimum old age for car operator can decrease the number of lane hazard. In reality, youthful motorist who may lack experience and maturity are more likely to engage in hazardous and reckless propulsive behaviors, putting themselves and other commuters in danger. Requiring individuals to wait until they are older to obtain a formal operator license can encourage them to operate car more responsibly and cautiously, which contributes to a safer propulsive environment. For example, countries like Japan and South Korea, where the minimum legal youth for jockey is higher, have had lower rates of wagon collisions involving inexperienced drivers.

However, increasing the legal maturity limit for motorist does not fully address the underlying causes of boulevard mishap. Moreover, it is critical to note that shipment setback can stem from various factors, including careless propulsive behaviors or poor transport infrastructure, not solely from budding drivers. Thus, stricter punishments for transportation offenses, such as heavy fines or longer license suspensions for repeat offenders, would serve as a more effective deterrent against careless propulsive behaviors. Additionally, the government should invest money in upgrading public transportation, including providing more bus and train services, which can encourage citizens to rely less on private car, ultimately leading to fewer lane mishap. The Mass Rapid Transit System in Singapore, for instance, has significantly reduced the number of private cars on the roadway by implementing strict laws and penalties for travel violations, along with developing a well-established subway and bus system.

In conclusion, although raising the maturity of legal eligibility for car operator can improve thoroughfare safety by reducing disaster involving youthful people, it is vital to address the root causes of travel hazard through stricter punishments for transportation offenses and upgrades to public transport. I am also convinced that once these measures are implemented, travel commuters will obey these regulations, creating safety conditions for all boulevard users.
