Essay topics:

Asteroids are large space objects made of rock and ice. There are hundreds of thousands of asteroids in our solar system. Though we often hear ideas about establishing colonies of humans to live and work on our Moon or our neighboring planet, Mars, some think that sending people to an asteroid would actually be the best colonization option for a number of reasons.

Low Gravity
To begin with, asteroids are often much smaller than planets, so they have lower gravity. When landing a spaceship, the craft would not be pulled as strongly or as forcefully toward the asteroid's surface, making the landing safer than landing on the Moon or Mars; it would also allow a spacecraft to carry much more equipment needed to set up the colony. It would also be easier for the spacecraft to take off again, so the spaceship would need to carry considerably less fuel for the trip back to Earth.

Mining Valuable Metals
Next, some asteroids are rich in valuable elements and precious metals that are relatively rare on Earth, such as gold and platinum. An asteroid colony would be extremely profitable and a good source of these raw materials. The colonists or businesses sponsoring them could more than pay for the cost of their support by mining minerals and sending them back to Earth.

Easy to Reach
Finally, asteroids are a good option for colonization because some of them would be very easy to reach. There are a number of asteroids that periodically come within or near Earth's orbit Some of them actually get closer to Earth than our Moon. So these asteroids would be much easier and more affordable to get to and get back from than a planet like Mars, which would require a two-year trip in each direction.

The article proposes that asteroid colonization is a profitable and feasiable option rather than Moon or Mars. It provides three reasons to illustrate this idea. The professor, however, does not believe so and states that asteroid colonization is not practical and challenges all the author's reasons by explaining the downside of those reasons.
First, the article avers that asteroids have low gravity which makes the creft landing easier, and with this condition crafts can carry more equipment to set a colony. On the other hand, the lecturer opposes this notion by saying that though this low gravity help craft landing, it has a risk fo rcolonist. People in this circumstance will lose their muscle weight and bone density. Spending several months lead to this health problem. If they want to stay longer time it will be a serious prohibiting helath risk for them.
Second, the reading material claims that some asteroids have some invaluable and precious metals such as gold and platinum. It adds that mining them will be profitable and colonist or theri sponsor will pay more for this support. Conversely, the speaker refutes this point and asserts that the writer story is not the whole picture and it has more factors. He asserts mining of these meatls has cost and bringing back them to earth will be expensive which adds to finish product cost. The speaker adds it does not guarantee that the price of these precious metals stay high if they bring from asteroid, their supply goes up then the price of them will be goes down logically.
Third, the lecture states that some of these asteroids comes to Earth orbit and very clsse, which makes going into and coming back convenient. Controversially, the professor posits that those asteroids have an unusual orbits and they come close to earth but they move away and will not stay there and go away. In this case going into them may be easy but coming back from them is so hard and a big challenge.
