bees

Essay topics:

bees

The article states that bees were not exist 200 million years ago and provides three reasons to support this statement. These reasons are challenged by lecturer. She is of the opinion that none of them is true.

First of all, the author contends that there is no actual bee fossils from that time and the earliest bees fossils is relatived to 100 million years ago. This statemnet is challenged by the lecturer. She says that although it is correct that there is not fossils from bees that demonstrate the existence of them but it is because bees fossilize on tree rasins that at that time this was very scarce so they did not preserved till now.

Secondly, the writer argues that lack of flowering plants in that period indicate that bees were not at that time. The lecturer, however, rebuts this by asserting that bees in that period fed non-flowering plants like Fern and then by the evolution they adopted to fed from flowering plants.

Finaly, it is states in the article that the chambers structure lack caps that modern bees close their nest by it now. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits this by mentioning that chemical process were done that provided a water resistence substance that now is replaced by caps
