Indeed professors have good knowledge over certain scintific concepts and people might get benefited from that. According to the speaker, however this is not a good thing for the professor, the university, and prople watching it. Following are the reasons provided by the speaker.

Firstly, she argues by that no one is really getting benefit from professors commentory on scientific research on television. She explains by saying that from a professional point of view, professor delivering talk on T.V is considered inferior to the other professors and also, scintific community does not invite them for an important meetings. Moreover, Professor going on a media platform is also not bringing reputation for the university. Professor wastes his/her time on preparing talk for T.V. In addition, they do care about how they are looking and wast time to get ready. Instead of doing research for the university, this is costing bith students and university.
