First, the author states, these houses used for residents, each one housing hundreds of people. This statement is challenged by professor. He says, if these houses were used for residential, They suppose to have many fireplaces which are crucail fotrcooking. Instead, that houses only contained few fireplaces which can support only ten families. Moreover, there were more than one hundred families have found in the each house.
Second, the passage asserts, the settlements utilized these houses as storage to keep food supplies like maize. The lecturer in the other hand refutes this notion. He contends, those places have contained only crops like maise. there is no equioments or containers to save these crops. the maize found on the ground without containers.
Lastly, the author points out, Chaco Cayon settlment used these houses for ceremonial purpose, especially, they were found closely to Pueblo Alto which was important house used for ceremony.
The lecturer contradicts this point. He says, there are many things beside pots, there are constructed material like stones and sands, this means that these materials as a trash left by workers.
