Spartacus: the rebel leader who fought against the Romans with an army of fellow escaped slaves, is one of the most famous figures in ancient Roman history. Spartacus led his men against their Roman oppressors and managed to defeat the Roman army in several battles. Eventually Spartacus and his army were defeated and put to death. To this day，Spartacus fascinates both historians and the general public. Several aspects about his story have made him a particularly appealing hero.

Third, in fighting against Rome: Spartacus sought to liberate all Roman slaves and thus commanded respect as an early human rights advocate. Before his final battle with the Romans, Spartacus was sent an offer by a Roman general: if Spartacus would stop fighting, he would be made a Roman senator, a member of Rome's powerful elite: and his men would be freed. However, Spartacus rejected this offer because it would have left the institution of slavery in place.

In the listening part, however, the lecturer challenges what the author states and rebuts the reasons, citing that these reasons are not based on historical accuracy stories.
To begin with, as mentioned in the article, the author sets forth that spartacus goal was return to their home because their main hometown was taken by romans. In the listening part, nevertheless, the speaker refutes the idea asserting that it was not their only goal. they wanted to come back home and defend of their homes because of the revange and wealth. In addition, they wanted to surpass of the place and benefit form its advantages.
Secondly, the author point out that Spartaccus and his man were very briliant in the army whcih roman empire could not atack them. they residted to imprie militeries which was powerful and possess a variety of equipments. Nonetheless, the lecturer flatly contradicts the idea and condends that in the first step romans sent their poor military and to defence agains them and when romans send their serious soldires and their actual military wessels, spartacus could not resist any more.
Finally, the passage claims that spartacus and his man were against slavary and they defend becuase of the slaves; that is way they became hero in the history. In contrast, the professor is of the opinion that the story became famuse at 18 centery. People and writers wanted a hero againt the slavory and they made the story. it was a insparation for slavory movemants; therefore, s[artacus has played a crucial role in this movement.
