Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading is talking about the benefits of making doctors write and store their records electronically instead of on paper. The reading gives us three reasons to prove the benefits. However, the lecturer doesn't confirm it and doubt all the three benefits for the reasons come below.

First, As the reading says, by recording electronically, we will save a lot of money. That's because we won't use that much paper anymore. Also, it will have other benefits like reducing the required storage space, retrieving the data easier, et cetera. However, the lecturer doesn't confirm it; because he says that, even by recording electronically, doctors will use papers for recording and keep them as backups. So we haven't given up on the traditional method.

Second, as the reading says, when we record electronically, we will avoid writing errors and the text will be much easier for reading. Again the lecturer doesn't confirm; because, as he says, doctors won't work with computers directly and they will use papers for their transcripts, et cetera, and their officers will do the electronic work; therefore, again, errors are as possible as they were before.

Third, one of the benefits that the reading is talking about, is the effect of electronic recording on ease of researches. This statement is without considering the fact that, for attaining doctors' data for researches, many permissions from many people are required, including patients. Clearly it doesn't seem practical and that much helpful that we get all those permissions from all those people. Even if we pass all these steps, has electronic recording been helpful for researches a lot?
