The author, further, says that critics claim that he actually came out of prison because of the help from his political friends. The lecturer contradicts this and explains that many prisoners in the same jail were having political friends but no one else came out of jail because of political help. She puts forth the point that the ceiling of the prison had to be repaired after Chevalier’s escape which further supports his escape from the ceiling.
