The article discusses several measures that have been proposed to stop cane tods in Australia and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor states that it will not easy to get rid of cane toad and she refutes each of the author"s reasons.

First, the article claims that cane toads spread could be prevented by building a national fence, this fence will prevents moving cane toad to areas that have not been colonized yet. The professor opposes this point by explaining that young and eggs of cane toads are found on rivers and streams, so they flow from one side to another. She concludes that building a fence will be unnecessary and it will not stop the spread.

Second, the reading posits that cane toad could be easily captured and destroyed by volunteers, by using their hands. On the other hand, the professor states that this way can be successful. However, these untrained people could destroy native frogs species too, which is endangered species. Since the native frogs and cane toads are similar in shape, people, who untrained, will not be able to distinguish between them.

Third, the article states that developing a disease-causing virus to control the cane toads populations. The professor refutes this point by stating that this idea has terrible consequences in South and central Americas. Reptile species are transport from Australia to other countries. Since it reach central and south Americas, it devastated the populations and ultimately disturbing the ecological system in that areas. because, these reptile species play a vital part in their ecosystem.
