The reading passage and the lecture are both about on the fire environment and it consequences and changing of the slogan, as I am quoting here, “let it burn” in the United States. The author of the article explains that fire causing itself a disaster effects on the natural as well as economical population, it has to be terminated in a specific time. While, the lecturer casts doubt claims made on the article. He states that, this type of forest fire is actually a constructive rather than destructive. They both are arguing in particular type of incident of Yellowstone in 1880th.
Firstly, the article suggests that, in that year, the fire creates a massive amount of hazardous situation, the park burned very badly, that all of it natural resources and habitat got destroy. In turn, the professor describes that, due to the burning of those trees, namely: Aries, actual clear the way for the tiny plants, which is needed the sunlight shadow to grow, covered by that type of tree.
Secondly, the passage contends that, it mainly affected the wild animals, like: elk and deer. The habitat got so upset that these animals faced so scariness along the scenes. In addition, the little animals also could not finding the ways for escaping. In contrast, the speaker rebuts this argument, he says that, after this fire, the other species, like: rabbits and hare, is adopt the new atmosphere to resist a huge amount of temperature, thus, it is better for them.
Lastly, the author mentions that, by the crossing that hazardous situation of fire, it value was also declined according the tourist point of view, no one wanted to visit to see the park, containing smoky and black carbon all around, which leads to it economical low. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that, only in the year 1988, this park faced the duration of 1 year, not on a regular based, especially wind and rain, so, they are not happened on a constant period. Hence, there was increased the tourism more after the following year.
