TPO-32 - Integrated Writing Task Starting in the 1960s and continuing until the 1980s, sailors in Russian submarines patrolling the North Alantic and Arctic Ocean would occasionally hear strange sounds. These underwater noises reminded the submarine crews

Quakers are the odd underwater sounds in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean moving fast, which can not be detect by the submarine's sonar. The passage supposes three hypotheses regarding the causes of quakers, all of which are considered impossible by the lecture.

First off, the professor in the lecture does not think they are caused by the courtship ritual of male and female ocra whales, because ocras always live in the surface of water rather than deep marine, although the two kinds of sounds are similar with each other.

In addition, that giant quids, known as intelligent animals, emitting the sound with curiosity about the submarines is also dismissed by the professor. In her view, quackers only lasting about twenty years does not agree with the fact that giant quids continue to live in the deep ocean.

Last, it's considered unlikely that the sounds come from foreign military technology, for the reason that foreign submarines have directions and are capable of moving around. However, sonars which can accompany with the submarines have not been invented yet.
