In order to prevent injuries, holes should be very small, but this would block sunlight and create darkness inside the buildings.
Third, the reading avers that builders could use the artificial magnetic field. The lecture opposes this point by saying that birds us a magnetic field for navigation only on long distances. On the other hand, for short distances, they rely on their eyes, not on a magnetic field. As a result, the magnetic field doesn't help to solve this problem.
