The author and lecturer offer two opposing views on the outcomes of ecocertification of the wood company in the United States. While the reading passage lists some factors such as an unworthiness of label for American consumers, the extra cost of products with certification, and the lack of necessity for developments as the reasons why this scheme will not be successful in United State, the professor counters these specific points and presents some clues to call into question for the information in the text.

First of all, the professor refutes the first fact of reading part which states that American consumers do not value these kinds of certification since they get used to various fake advertising label. The lecturer mentions that the people separate the fake slogans of company from the globally approved certification. Since this ecocretification possesses an international reputation, they do not treat as same as they treat with the company's artificial advertising claim.

Next, the passage uses the surmise of the expensive cost of these products and the prone of people for cheap prices, will pave the path for the failure of this program in the United States. On the contrary, the lecturer doubts the truth of this claim. As he asserts that the people value the other factors beyond the products prices. Especially, if the ultimate cost of the product is five percent more than the regular products they can neglect this expense and take a concentration of the other benefits and features of products.

Finally, the professor argues the fact of the lack of interest for development in the company while the wood companies do not have the international markets. Meanwhile, the passage presumes this fact as one of the reasons. Based on the lecturer's perspective, this certification promotes the consumer quantities, and this situation, lead to a big competition among the companies to appeal more consumers. Thus, it can be considered as decent motivation for the companies
Consequently, that is how the professor effectively challenges the whole claims made in the article.
