TPO - writing integrated task
Summarise the points made in the lecture. Be sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage - a project with a team of people

The reading passage and the lecture are both about approaching new projects with a team of people. The lecturer completely refutes the arguments in the article. He argues that these explanations are faulty.

Firstly, the lecture states that when a company decided to attack its new project to a teams or groups to accomplish it. They, after six months, realize that no rewarding for members of the team was given since the names’ people who made real contributions to the project were not cited. This directly opposes the reading passage that states that members have chance to shine and have their contributions recognized by the team.

Secondly, the lecturer believes that the project did not move quickly mainly because there was not a consensus of opinions inside the groups of how they had to approach the project and decisions. This idea disagrees with the articles that states that the group can work more quickly because a group of people has a wider range of knowledge, expertise and skills.

Finally, the lecturer explains that usually in the groups two people became influencer over the rest member. They were able to drop some ideas, convince the group to agree with them or ignore other ideas. The reading, on the other hand, states that all member have voice in making decisions and the group spreads the responsibility of a wrong decision in the entire group not in individual members.
