In the listening, the woman is facing a problem that it is raining, and the girl forgets to bring her coat and umbrella, but she has to go back home to finish her history paper. There are 2 solutions. The first is to wait for her roommate to pick her up, but her roommate has classes all the afternoon, so she will go home very late and end up staying up late finishing her paper. The second is to call a taxi, but it will cost her a lot, about 15 dollars. As for me, I think the second way is better because she can go back home soon and she is able to finish her paper as soon as possible.
