Essay topics:

Fewer and fewer young people are choosing to become a teacher. Why do young people do not want to become teachers? How this could be changed?

The rate of youngsters choosing teaching as a profession is declining rapidly. This essay suggests that teaching can often come across as less paying and this could be changed by compensating teachers adequately for the work they produce.
Firstly, teachers are not paid for the work that they produce. It is evident that, unlike state-owned schools, privately funded schools do not pay sufficiently for teachers and they do not get pension facilities. Most schools from developing nations are not state-owned and the salary that they provide does not attract many new candidates for the job. Furthermore, privately funded schools do not provide retirement plans for teaching. For example, In Sri Lanka, schools that are owned by the government, once a certain age is completed, they offer retirement every month, however, schools that are private does not provide such facilities.
The aforementioned problem can be solved by providing adequate salaries for the teachers and furthermore, governments can provide all the benefits irrespective of the school that the teachers teach in. Unlike state-owned schools, private schools do not pay their staff from taxpayers money, salaries of the teachers are paid by the student's tuition. Therefore, the school's tuition fees can be increased to pay the staff. Similarly, governments should pay incentives and other benefits that they provide to government school teachers.
To conclude, more and more youngsters are opting not to choose teaching as a profession. One of the main problems for this is teachers are not paid sufficiently and governments do not provide benefits for certain teachers. These problems can be mitigated, firstly, institutions should leverage enough capital to pay their tutors, and governments should provide benefits to all the teachers.
