Personal essay to apply for CORe program of Harvard Business School Online

My name is Fan Fan. I am a marketer at the mid-management level in a well-known pharmaceutical corporation. Although pharmacy was the main major that I studied at the university, I have advanced my career in business as a self-learner. From school to working environments, I always received complimentary from my professors, managers on my big potentials that have not yet been fully uncovered.

Fully aware of that asset, I have tried and looking for new ways to make a big leap in my life and work. I jumped into many popular online learning platforms that my companies paid for the subscription but have not yet found a course that matched my expectations of essential business knowledge and skills that are well-developed and based on real case methods. Besides, the multi-learning platform and the opportunities to interact with global learners are what I am searching for.

Harvard Business School (HBS) is an endless dream of an enormous amount of people in this world. However, it does not mean that HBS is the school for everyone that are dreaming to study business as we are different and there is no one-school-fit-all.
