The bar graph below compares the amount of money was spent on a variety of kinds of entertainment during five years in Asia, Europe and The US. According to the data given by the graph, it can be clearly seen that people of The US spent more money on entertainment than Asia and Europe.
In 1995 total 67 billion dollars were spent on entertainment in Asia, while this figure was 97 billion in Europe and 184 billion dollars in The US. Most of money was used for publishing followed by television, while the smallest proportion was spent on cinema and video. Over this span of five years the quantity of money was used up for entertainment rose significantly. It increased by 43 billion and reached 110 billion in Asia, hit the 131 billion in Europe and climbed 257 billion dollars in the US in 2000. During these years the importance of television and music as a means of entertainment rose moderately.
To sum up, it can be easily noticed that despite the increases in the amount of money spent on entertainment in Asia and Europe, the total number of figures for both countries is less than the same figure for the US.
