Endotherms are animals such as modern birds and mammals that keep their body temperatures constant. For instance, humans are endotherms and maintain an internal temperature of 37°C, no matter whether the environment is warm or cold. Because dinosaurs wer

The Article states that the dinosaurs are endotherms and provides some reasons to support the idea. However, the professor cast doubts on the points by saying that scientists thinks there are some problems about the idea and the reasons cannot prove it.
First, the author states that fossils of dinosaurs were found in polar regions, therefore they were endotherms and could maintain their body temprature constant in the cold environment. However, the professor believes that climate of the polar regions were warmer at the time of dinosaurs and warm enough for them to live there. Also, during the cold months they could migrate or hibernate like other reptiles.
Second, the passage posits that there was a connection between endothermy and the movements of legs in dinosaurs. However, the lecturer explains that does not necessary mean that dinosaurs were endotherms because they had their legs under their body. In contrary, the professor believes that the position of their legs supported mores weight of the dinosaurs. Therefore they could grow large. This is obvious that being large was an advantage for them.
Third, the passages mentins the Haversial canals and demonstrates that there iwas a connection between endothermy and bone structure. In this case, the professor says it is true that dinosaurs had the Haversian canals. However, she adds that they were not rapidly growing in the cold weather, but slowly. Their body structure helped them to grow rapidly when it was not cold.
