The author of the reading believes that if employees work a four-day week it increase company profit. The lecture casts doubt on the claims made in the article.

First of all, the author points out that four-day week increase company profit. It is mentioned that employees work four day week they have chance to get rested and alert and make less error which expand company growth. This point is challenged by lecture. He says that if employees work four-day a week then company require new worker and required more space and more computer which decrease company profit. furthermore, new workers make large error that diminish company growth.

Secondly, the author contends that in four-day week employees work on 80% salary so company can hire new people which decrease unemployment rate. The lecture rebuts this argument. He suggests that if employees work a four-day week company expect same amount of work from employees what they did in a five-day a week so no new worker hires and do not decrease unemployment rate.

Finally, the author states that in a four-day week, employees have more personal time to spend with family and friends. The article establish that employ feel less stress and work more efficiently. The lecture, on the other hand, mention that if the quality of work is reduce then they have less chance to grow in carrier and less chance to get promotion. He puts the idea that if there is any big error than they have chance to loss job.
