Some say that people living in high-rise apartments are lonely and unhappy, while others say that it’s advantageous to stay in high-rise apartments. Discuss advantages and disadvantages. Give your opinion.
Today, we can see that in many big cities, houses, bungalows and other types of accommodation are replaced with high-rise apartments and skyscrapers. Some individuals believe that living in these apartments make people lonely and consequently unhappy while others think vice versa.
In my opinion there are some striking advantages about living in apartments. First of all, people feel more secure when they live in an apartment. In most of these buildings there is a security man who is responsible for the safety of the building and he checks people who enter the apartment and as a result strangers can not come into the building. Moreover, these apartments mostly are very well equipped with gym facilities and swimming pools, therefore all the residents can enjoy using them. Besides, because in each stair there are two or three apartments people can find good neighbors who can be good company for them.
On the other hand, by living in an apartment people have to pay extra charges for the cleaning service, security and so on which is a little high. Furthermore, the couples who have little children loose the advantages of having a yard in a house. In addition, late night parties or noisy neighbors are annoying for others.
To sum up, living in an apartment is not a reason for making people unhappy. For being happy people should learn how to enjoy their life to the full. Each person can choose where to live based on her/his need.
